About Chef Asghar Khan

Chef Asghar Khan is the Founder and Head Chef of MORNI by Asghar in Oswestry, UK. A former IT professional, he chose passion over comfort to pursue his true calling in the kitchen. His journey led him to MasterChef India, where he competed in two seasons and ranked among the Top 30 contestants nationwide.

Known as a storyteller of flavours, Chef Asghar believes food is deeply emotional and rooted in culture. Through MORNI, he aims to redefine Indian cuisine in the UK by showcasing India’s rich regional diversity, forgotten recipes, and authentic traditions—creating food that connects, inspires, and leaves lasting memories.

Sensational! What a wonderful restaurant. The staff are attentive, service with a smile. The menu is extensive with options of vegetarian and vegan meals. Each dish moorish and plentiful. Such value for money. We will return very soon.

My wife and I visited on Thursday for our wedding anniversary and enjoyed what was undoubtedly the best Indian food we have ever tasted. Both our starters and main courses were incredible with so many flavours in each dish.
